Casual Disability Support Workers, ENs, AINs & Nursing Students

📍Cannon Hill, QLD | Casual | Immediate Start

We looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and experienced support staff to join our team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred support to a bright, active and engaging young man living in Cannon Hill, QLD. You’ll have the opportunity to build genuine rapport while supporting him to live an active, fulfilling and independent life.

We are particularly interested in people who are confident supporting individuals with high physical support needs and who enjoy helping participants get involved in their community.

 

💙 About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personalised support with a range of daily activities, including:

  • Personal care and assistance with daily living
  • Hoisting, transfers and manual handling
  • PEG feeding and mealtime support
  • Medication assistance within your scope of practice
  • Community access and social engagement
  • Supporting independence and participation in meaningful activities
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating with the wider support team

 

👥 About You

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have experience supporting people with complex physical disabilities and high support needs
  • Are confident with hoisting, transfers, PEG feeding and personal care
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Are positive, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Can work independently while also contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
  • Are passionate about providing respectful, person-centred support

 

📋 Essential Requirements

Applicants must have, or be eligible to obtain and maintain:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Blue Card / Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Current Australian Driver Licence
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Availability to work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends, active nights and sleepovers

Volunteer With Our Breakfast Club

Help give students a positive start to their school day. 💙

The Franklin Family Support Services Breakfast Club is a community initiative supporting schools across the Logan area by helping provide students with a positive, welcoming and nourishing start to their school day.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and community-minded volunteers to join us at our Park Ridge and Beenleigh locations and help make the Breakfast Club a success.

What You’ll Help With

Volunteers may assist with:

  • 🍳 Preparing and setting up breakfast
  • 🥣 Serving breakfast to students
  • 📦 Setting up the breakfast area
  • 🧹 Packing up and cleaning after breakfast
  • 💙 Creating a welcoming and positive environment for students

📌 Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers must be eligible to obtain or hold a Volunteer Blue Card.

No matter how much time you can give, your contribution can help us continue providing breakfast and creating positive experiences for students in our community.
